LAWNCARE--It’s that time of year again! Mike Tatum is putting together a schedule of volunteers to cut the grass at CDC. A lawnmower is provided. The more people that volunteer, the better! Please contact Mike at 897-5801 or mtatum1061@insightbb.com to be added to the rotation.

HEARTS OF FIRE TEACHERS NEEDED--There is a need for a teacher for the 1st and 2nd grade class for May. Please contact Melanie Carlisle to volunteer or for more information. Her cell phone number is 449-0794 or email her at mcarlisle@Alliedhomenet.com.

USED BOOK DONATIONS--Don’t forget to bring in those good used books you have at home collecting dust. Jim and Tracy Post have raised about $100 from the ones received so far. Please contact the Post’s at bafjim@msn.com or 853-9017 with any questions.

PIANO PLAYER WANTED FOR QUARTET--The CDC Quartet is looking for a piano player! We need someone who can read music, help us pick out harmony parts from that music, practice with us, perform live, and who loves Jesus with their whole heart. There is no pay (money that is) but there are uncounted rewards. It may be you or it may be somebody you know. Please contact Pastor Jerry as soon as possible at 842-2500 or 490-019 or jerry@cdcfamily.org.

MY SPACE WEB-SITE--Be sure to check out the CDC My Space that Trey Moore has created. You can hear messages and music clips plus check out all of the current events at www.myspace.com/cdcfamily. This is a great site to send your friends to who may be considering visiting CDC. Check it out and if you have a My Space page, become a friend!

FALL FESTIVAL--Keep watching over the next couple of weeks for exciting information on the upcoming CDC Fall Festival!

HEARTS OF FIRE INFORMATION--Adults don’t forget that you can help kids earn Bible Bucks by turning in a slip for them in the Acts of Kindness box located by the CD/DVD order center in the hallway. Fill out a slip and drop it in the box if you have been blessed by, or have been a witness to a situation where the child has done an Act of Kindness.

FOOD FOR THE SOUL--The CDC Cookbooks are now available to purchase for only $7.00. See Wendy Moore before or after service on any Sunday morning. If you would like to order one to be mailed you, please send your name and address to CDC, 8122 Robin Hill Road, Newburgh IN 47630. Write cookbook on the memo line of your check and please include $2.00 postage for each book ordered.

CDC FINANCIAL NEEDS--In addition to the day to day financial needs at CDC, such as mortgage, 2nd mortgage for parking lot, ever rising utilities, insurance, payroll, building maintenance, etc., please pray about the needs of CDC and our outreach ministries. God has blessed us and will continue to do so as we give in support of His work. Matthew 6:21.

TEACHERS/NURSERY WORKERS/HELPERS--Anyone who misses the message due to volunteering in the classroom or nursery may request a free DVD of that morning’s service. Just fill out a card at the media center and note on the card that you taught that morning.

MORNING PRAYER/COMMUNION--On Sunday mornings, the CDC auditorium is used for prayer and communion at the reserved time of 9:00 am until approximately 9:30 am. You do not have to be here at 9:00 am to participate. Just remember to be considerate of others and enter and exit the auditorium quietly during this time. Danielle Drew has volunteered to watch your children in the nursery during this time for those who would like to participate but have a need someone to watch your little one.

LICENSE PLATES--The license plates in the hall next to Lisa Daniels office are for anyone who would like to have one. Please put a donation in the designated envelope and drop it in either the metal drop box on the wall, or in the DVD/CD order box and help yourself.

DVD’S-The Sunday morning services are now available to purchase on DVD for $7.00 a copy. There are order cards in the hallway at the Message Center. Order them just as you do the CD’s.

MEN’S BREAKFAST & BIBLE STUDY--There will be a monthly Men’s Breakfast and Bible study on Saturday, May 10th  beginning at 8:00 am in the CDC Fellowship Hall. Please contact Mike Tatum or Brian Moore for more information.

CDC DROP BOX--There is a drop box on the wall in the hallway outside of Lisa Daniels office, near the message center, for depositing welcome cards, prayer requests, tithes, offerings, comments, suggestions, etc. This new lockbox replaces the red, white and blue one that was on the table in the foyer.

LIONS CLUB COLLECTION BOX--The Lions Club has provided us a box to collect your old eyeglasses and hearing aids. The used eyeglasses are cleaned, repaired and classified by prescription and are then distributed to those in need by Lion volunteers and other organizations hosting optical missions in developing countries. The box is located in the hallway leading to the Fellowship Hall.

NURSERY AUDIO & VIDEO--For those who are working the nursery, you may now see and hear the message from that room. There is a monitor in there that will allow you to see and hear all that goes on in the auditorium.

CDC COMMUNITY BULLETIN BOARDS--The framed corkboards posted in the hallway across from the offices are now the official CDC Community Bulletin Board area. This is for postings such as “Help Wanted”, “Articles For Sale”, “Babysitter Needed or Wanted”, “Free Items”, “Thank You Notes”, “Business Cards”, “Wanted To Buy”, Etc.

WARRICK COUNTY FOOD PANTRY--Remember the less fortunate by making contributions to the Newburgh Area Food Pantry. We have made it easy to do! Add an extra item to your grocery list each week, such as non-perishable food, hygiene items, cleaning items, first aid items, and over the counter medications. Place your donations in the designated container in the Hallway as you enter the auditorium. A volunteer will pick up the items once a week. If you have fresh produce, fruit, or meat to donate, you may drop it off at the Food Pantry, 625 Frame Road, Tuesday through Saturday, between 10 and 4.

WEDNESDAY EVENING PRAYER WARRIORS--Everyone is invited to a Prayer Warriors Group that meets on Wednesday evenings at 6:00 pm at CDC. Bring prayer needs and requests. Also, please bring a business card from your business, or your employers, so the prayer warriors can pray over these businesses asking for God’s blessings. You may drop these in the offering plate anytime and we will see to it they get to the Wednesday evening group. Please contact Elaine Freeman at 425-5859 for more information.

CDC CHOIR--Practice is on Sunday's at 1:00 pm. If you are interested in being a part of the choir, please speak to Steve or Cathy Eichele, or call them at 897-1273, or just show up for practice!
